How to play sudoku
There is really only one rule. Fill every cell of the 9×9 grid with a digit from 1 to 9 so that no digit appears twice in the same row, the same column, or the same bold 3×3 box. The digits printed at the start are your clues; everything else is deduced from them.

Sudoku is a puzzle that can always be finished by logic alone. No guessing is required, you observe the board, apply elimination, and build the answer step by step. That process is genuinely good exercise for concentration, working memory and logical reasoning. Even five minutes on a commute or a coffee break is enough to finish an easy grid and get the small hit of having done it.
