Mini sudoku 4×4 (easy)

Mini sudoku 4×4 is the standard 9×9 puzzle shrunk down for beginners. You use only the digits 1 to 4, and you fill the empty cells so that no digit repeats in a column, in a row, or in one of the four bold 2×2 blocks. The rules are exactly those of full-size sudoku, so everything learned here transfers straight to the 9×9 board.

Easy mode starts with plenty of digits already placed, so the puzzle can be finished simply by working through what's missing. There is no addition or subtraction involved — only "which digit is this row still waiting for?" — which makes it an excellent first logic puzzle for pre-schoolers and early primary children. The cells and buttons are drawn large, so small fingers manage fine on a phone or tablet.

Tap an empty cell to select it, then use the number buttons below the grid, or press 1–4 on a keyboard. Erase undoes a digit and Check marks mistakes in red.
